  • Lipoma sarcomatodes

What is liposarcoma?

Liposarcomas are a type of sarcoma – a cancer that forms from the soft tissues that surround and support our organs. In liposarcoma, the cancer forms from the fatty tissues that are found throughout the body.

How rare is liposarcoma?

There are around 391 cases of liposarcoma each year in the UK.

Why is RareCan interested in liposarcoma?

RareCan is working to accelerate research into liposarcoma, and all sarcomas, by making it easier for researchers to connect with people with these rare cancers. You can help us do this by becoming a RareCan member and sharing information with us about your diagnosis. We will then get in touch with you about any research opportunities that might be suitable for you.
